WV Addiction Helpline celebrates 5 year anniversary

Help4WV offers a 24/7 call, chat, and text line that provides immediate help for any West Virginian struggling with an addiction or mental health issue. The helpline staff offers confidential support and resource referrals, including self-help groups, outpatient couseling, medication-assisted treatment, psychiatric care, emergency care, and residential treatment.

Veterans Crisis Line

The Veteran's Crisis Hotline provides 24/7 free confidential crisis support for veterans, service members, National Guard and Reserve members and those who support them. Those seeking help do not have to be enrolled in VA benefits​ or health care to connect. 


Dial 988 then press 1, use the chat feature on their website, or text 838255to get in contact with a responder and resources.

National Poison Prevention Week: Who to call when you need help

West Virginia’s Poison Control Center provides confidential and fast assessments and emergency treatment recommendations on accidental and intentional toxic exposures to medications and household substances, drug overdoses or adverse events, chemical spills, animal bites and stings, and occupational exposures 24/7. If you or someone you know is experiencing  adverse reactions to chemical, substance or drug exposure or overdose contact the West Virginia’s Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222.
